Amy Schumer and Her Sister Do Everything Together—Including Their Emmys Red Carpet Hair and Makeup

Today on Instagram, Amy Schumer took the (hilarious) opportunity to remind us that she is nominated for six Emmy Awards this evening, and to let us in on her pre-event masking routine, as captured by sister Kim Caramele and likened to a sinister owl from 1980s animated classic, The Secret of Nimh. This was just the beginning of their girls night out, with Caramele serving as Schumer’s arm candy on the red carpet, and the duo unabashedly enjoying the twinning beauty benefits of siblingdom.

In the kind of spot-on doppelgang-ing that requires a shared glam squad—not to mention a lifetime of practice in the coordinated primping department—Caramele’s brunette hair was twisted into a knot that proved nearly identical to Schumer’s blonde updo. And if there was any doubt that their matching sharply shaded eyes and nude lips were intentional, those black Vivienne Westwood gowns settled the question for good.

The duo, who have worked together on everything from the Emmy-nominated Inside Amy Schumer to the 2015 feature film, Trainwreck, clearly enjoy each other’s company, staying side by side through work, play, and more than a few highly publicized laughs. Because when it comes to keeping it real, a sister—particularly a Schumer sister—can always be counted on.
