The Best Beauty Looks From the 2016 Emmys Red Carpet

Emily Ratajkowski

With binge-worthy, impeccably crafted television gaining the kind of acclaim previously reserved for cinema, it’s no wonder the best beauty looks at this evening’s Emmy Awards seemed worthy of the proverbial silver screen. For Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown, a deeply parted, side-slicked chop brought fresh-faced glamour to the grown-out buzz cut that’s become the signature of her scene-stealing character, Eleven—and instantly marked the 12-year-old actress as a future red carpet star to watch.

Elsewhere, Priyanka Chopra and Emily Ratajkowski took the look for a seriously grown-up spin, with each opting for slicked-back ponytails worn low and augmented by bold makeup. Game of Throne’s Sophie Turner ditched her now Sansa-synonymous auburn lengths for a platinum plait worthy of Khaleesi, while Daenerys Targaryen herself—aka Emilia Clarke—opted for a surprisingly soft and romantic undo.

Actress Sarah Paulson, who is nominated tonight for her role as Marcia Clark in The People v. O.J. Simpson, embraced a slick and striking blonde pixie that sat in stark contracts to her on-screen character’s famous dark ringlets. But our favorite look of the night goes to Scandal’s Kerry Washington, who stepped away from Olivia Pope’s polished perfection for brushed-out curls, no-makeup makeup, and a glorious goddess-worthy baby bump.

Here, our eight favorite beauty looks from the 2016 Emmy Awards.
