Why Gisele Bündchen’s Winter Waves Were Made for a Day Outdoors

Gisele Bundchen

Whether she’s bounding down the beach or treading the Chanel catwalk, Gisele Bündchens honey-streaked mane is nothing if not a case study in the art of consistent bombshell tousle. And while a dip in the sea or a backstage blast of texturizing spray (to say nothing of a few thick sun-kissed highlights) don’t hurt, the model mom’s trip to the ice-skating rink in Boston yesterday offered proof that polar vortexes and perfectly rumpled waves aren’t mutually exclusive. Neither is using a light hand with your makeup: Bündchen’s trademark fresh-faced good looks and flushed cheeks reminded us that even a skillful application of in-from-the-cold blush can’t beat the real thing. Our thoughts: Why not skip the lengthy blowout and tease out some texture with a diffuser—then rely on a gusty day to do the rest.
