Tonight, a flock of winsome Angels will frolic across your TV screen when the annual Victoria’s Secret Swim Special airs on CBS. Filmed last December in St. Barth’s, the weeklong getaway is ostensibly a shoot for the brand’s spring catalog—but judging by the Instagrams snapped by the models on duty, it’s also a playful celebration of girl-gang beauty.
So, how does a Victoria’s Secret Angel do twinning hair and makeup? Just look to Taylor Hill and Josephine Skriver’s coordinated zip-up neoprene suits and tousled ponytails, swept gracefully back by the island breeze. Bombshell blondes Stella Maxwell and Candice Swanepoel, too, matched their black wetsuits to their slick power ponies, then struck a cheeky pose inspired by those other bold Angels. Elsewhere, twin topknots on Jasmine Tookes and Skriver were only enhanced by their near-identical sets of sculpted cheekbones, while Sara Sampaio, Martha Hunt, Behati Prinsloo, and Hill made the case for easy beach hair done two ways. But perhaps it’s a shot of the entire squad, grinning widely for the camera, that proves Angel beauty is more about a shared confidence and fearlessness than any one look. The friends that slay together, stay together.
