We’ve seen Ciara experiment with playful, printed looks by the likes of Bouchra Jarrar and Fausto Puglisi on the red carpet, but for New York Fashion Week she took a decidedly cooler, sleeker approach to dressing, one that referenced the city’s own downtown uniform.
The 29-year-old new mom reworked the classic model-off-duty look with a suede biker jacket and high-waisted jeans, while a television appearance saw her remix girly accordion pleats with sleek over-the-knee leather boots. Perhaps her most head-turning outfit, though, was the daring boudoir-chic-meets-Gothic ensemble she wore to Givenchy’s show, a fashion moment the singer herself ranks as her most major to date.
