The world may never forget North West’s beginner’s attempt at Kardashian contour on Instagram last month, thanks to the textbook example of apple-tree syndrome it provided—one that offered up a charming lesson in the best form of mother-daughter imitation. Also exploring the possibilities of mini-me makeup: Blue Ivy and Beyoncé, who shared a next-level take on mommy-and-me beauty yesterday that, per the Knowles-Carters’ standard operating procedure, was jaw-droppingly on-point.

See the 4-year-old’s couture statement brow, embellished with glimmering gems, that recalls the ornate makeup from Beyoncé’s “Hymn for the Weekend” video with Coldplay, or perhaps the glittering brows at Giambattista Valli’s runway show last weekend in Paris. Blue Ivy’s geometric slick of black liner seems thoroughly (and appropriately) stadium stage–ready, while her magenta lip stain appears beyond expertly applied. Makeup, flawless.
