The instant pick-me-up of beachy complexion and golden light notwithstanding, it was her braids that conjured the glory of a weekend spent barefoot in the sand. Her duo of textured plaits looked like they had been absentmindedly woven while napping in the sun, conveying the holy grail of summertime beauty: true effortlessness.
