Watch Lily Aldridge Train for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

Tomorrow night, when the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show airs at 10 p.m. EST on CBS, model Lily Aldridge will walk the runway with the kind of ab, leg, and arm definition it takes to look good in a custom bra and a 20-foot pair of wings. Getting there is no easy task: To whip her willowy frame into top form, Aldridge trains like a professional athlete—amping up her thrice-weekly, 60-minute workouts as far as two months out. Thirty days before showtime, she kicks into high gear by hitting the gym or pounding the pavement six days a week for an hour and a half at a time.


The half-dozen supercharged workouts on her schedule are a comprehensive cross-training mix: Aldridge rises early for rotating sessions in the boxing ring at Gotham Gym, on the mat at Modo Yoga, and in the saddle at SoulCycle. Body-sculpting dates with the resistance bands at New York’s modelFIT gym, long runs along the Hudson River, and dance-inspired moves at SoHo’s Ballet Beautiful target every last muscle. To maintain her energy levels throughout the week, she reaches for BluePrint juices and Paleta nuts on the go. When at home, she refuels with blueberry smoothies and fresh vegetable- and fish-heavy meals. On the seventh day, she rests, “You need a down day for your muscles to relax,” says Aldridge. “It’s my favorite day of the week!”
