It’s widely accepted that Scandinavian style mavens have effortless beauty down to an art. And, from her clean-cut threads to her pared-down makeup, Danish model Nadja Bender is certainly no exception. “It’s not that people here don’t follow trends,” says the jet-setting face of Gucci and Fendi, who was discovered on Facebook back in 2011. “It’s more that we have a very relaxed and personal take on beauty and fashion.” Her own off-duty jeans and T-shirt scenario is complemented by—you guessed it—a discreetly understated hair and makeup regimen; one that she purposefully follows when she’s not on location for a shoot in order to give her hair and skin a rest. But that’s not to say Bender doesn’t put any thought into the contents of her own bathroom cabinet: “I really live by the philosophy that less is better,” she says, simply. Here, at the start of Copenhagen Fashion Week, the bombshell beauty unzips her cosmetics case and expertly curated address book to reveal a lo-fi list of maintenance recommendations—from immune-boosting juices to off-the-radar, organic cleansers—that anyone heading to the Danish capital should try out firsthand.
