Milan’s fall runways may predict that come September, women will take to the streets with faux bobs, bombshell blowouts, and quirkily pretty updos, but at the moment, those zigzagging across Via Montenapoleone are adopting a different kind of hair statement: braids. Few things are easier for navigating the weekend than a thick, sideswept single plait. Spotted on the street in Milan, sideswept variations of the look will only get better as they’re deconstructed by the wind, a late night of dancing, or a good eight hours of sleep. Meaning we’ll be wearing it from a breakfast at Juicebar this morning to Sunday dinner at Da Giacomo. Blast with texturizer, braid, and, come tomorrow, reinvigorate with dry shampoo.
