For supermodel, singer, and Nashville resident Karen Elson, last night’s CFDA Fashion Awards doubled as a sort of blind friend date. Elson wore a long-sleeved wool floral lace gown by designer Katie Ermilio, and though the two had never met before yesterday, they hit the red carpet and ceremony together. “I’d seen her clothes and I thought what she does is exquisite and beautiful,” Elson says. “She has such refined taste.” After Elson landed in New York, the duo bonded over cocktails at the Bowery Hotel before heading upstairs for hair (by Bumble and Bumble) and makeup (by MAC).
