The final lap of fashion month was marked by tousled hair, matte red lips, and covetable accessories on Instagram. Our feeds featured such models as Irina Shayk, who further enhanced her windblown mane, bold brows, and peony mouth with a pair of large-scale frames, and Constance Jablonski, who circled her golden strands with a swath of glittering onyx netting for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund cocktails at Deyrolle.
Models Jing Wen and Xiao Wen Ju debuted cherry lips with not an ounce of shine (expertly applied by makeup artist Benjamin Puckey for a Vogue China cover shoot), while Imaan Hammam followed suit in Seminyak, Indonesia, by accenting her damp, natural curls with a flush of matte carmine lipstick. Makeup looks were literally over the top at Vivienne Westwood’s Gold Label show—Val Garland created what she termed “secured chaos” by fastening oversize sequined eyes and lips to a scrap of white netting draped over models’ faces, to artful effect.

Stylist Sam McKnight’s hair for the Chanel runway—a set of back hanging pigtails secured by a metallic barrette and dubbed le double catogan—was immortalized by Karl Lagerfeld himself, who created a charming geometric sketch of the style.
But it was Finn Seyfried who ultimately won Instagram this week: The furry companion of Amanda Seyfried donned a pair of black boxing gloves for a trip to the gym, in the company of a silvery Weimaraner, reminding us that it’s not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog.
