This week, a look at our Instagram feeds proved that there are countless ways to unwind. Model Imaan Hammam took a break from a seemingly strenuous hike to post a selfie—the electrical-pronged emoji denoting her “unplugged” state—while Caroline Brasch Nielsen shared an instant postcard from her London run. Meanwhile, Hannah Bronfman reached for a “super charged” green juice in an attempt to reenergize (the snap doubled as an opportunity to show off her hip-hop-inspired manicure). For Louise Parker, it was the classic beauty sleep route, snuggling up on a down comforter swaddled in a white terrycloth robe and cozy cotton socks. Artist Jeanette Hayes reminded us with tongue-in-cheek humor that although important, guilt-free indulgences are often short-lived, while Lou Doillon took a backseat selfie en route to a downtime destination (hopefully) worthy of her idyllically tousled mane. For our part, we’ll be taking tips from each of the best beauty Instagrams this weekend, culminating in a Sunday night viewing of Dirty Dancing, inspired by Miranda Kerr, whose “I carried a watermelon #DirtyDancing” caption was just one more reminder of why we love the seasonal warm weather fruit.
