From unexpected washes of color to well-placed piercings, this week’s best beauty Instagrams were all about the details. Parisian model Jeanne Damas decorated her cup of tea with a rose-tinted kiss, while journalist Stephanie LaCava topped off her auburn ponytail with a seasonally apt rust-hued ribbon.
Victoria’s Secret Angels Candice Swanepoel and Behati Prinsloo snapped a selfie during an appearance at the Today show, showing off golden, runway-ready waves and—in Swanepoel’s case—a playful flick of black eyeliner. Zoë Kravitz brought color to the streets of Japan by way of terra-cotta eyeshadow and a scoop of chartreuse ice cream, further accessorized with a silver septum ring and a mane of baby braids.
Elin Kling’s ear jackets elevated a chic ensemble, her baby blonde hair tucked into the collar of her black blazer to elegant effect, while Elsa Hosk allowed her similarly colored strands to spill over her shoulders. But when it came to wholly unconventional uses of color, the week belonged to makeup artist Pat McGrath, who took over a Brooklyn diner [LINK TO FANCY] and painted the faces of the city’s new nightlife scene in a spectrum of brilliant jewel-toned shades.
