At the Academy Awards Nominee Luncheon in Beverly Hills yesterday, gold wasn’t the only color on everyone’s mind. Fresh pink lips proved a winning daytime beauty statement, with many of the Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress contenders incorporating the color into their signature look.
Jennifer Lawrence and Rachel McAdams both paired their wavy blonde bobs with a swipe of rosy pastel pigment, a shade that proved as pretty with pale skin as it did against Alicia Vikander’s California bronze and soft brunette waves. Brie Larson also channeled a beachy glamour, pairing a textured ponytail with flushed cheeks that matched her petal-pink lips. Even Rooney Mara traded in her gothic aesthetic for a softer sense of romance with the help of a lighter lip color.
