Just as frizzy waves and a steamy glow have become the seasonally savvy girl’s trick to leaning into the soaring temperatures, a smudge of melty eyeliner is proving an unlikely heat wave-friendly beauty ally.
Anja Rubik posed starboard in St.-Tropez yesterday with a wraparound cat-eye that took her split-second nudes into evening territory as much as Constance Jablonski’s supercharged lashes, while Stella Maxwell and Hari Nef topped a smudge of pigment with a diffuse wash of charcoal shadow. Laura Bailey took a flower crown into rocker territory with an inky liquid flick, and Joan Smalls recalibrated the beach babe beauty equation with a stroke of jet-black pencil that took on a perfectly-imperfect quality by way of a dip in the surf.
