Wet Hair, Don’t Care: 6 Dampened Styles to Get You Through This Weekend’s Heat Wave

Bella Hadid

Wet hair, don’t care, is our new motto for the forthcoming weekend. With temperatures that are, in a word, fiery, and creeping ever-upwards around the country, we’re looking to flee our air-conditioned abodes in favor of bodies of water in which to cool off, soak, splash, and embrace the rays sans bitterness. Fortunately, some of our favorite celebs have offered up lessons in damp hairstyling, optimal for post-swim activities.

Bella Hadid grabbed an ice cream cone—another necessity in the coming days—with her recently submerged lengths combed into a sleek and polished topknot that read more runway than boardwalk. Taylor Hill topped off slicked, pigtail plaits with a N.Y. Yankees cap, while Bambi Northwood-Blyth honed her island princess persona with a tiny braid woven across the crown of her ocean-drenched updo.

If seaside glamour is more your style, look to Romee Strijd, who simply brushed her dampened blonde lengths back to reveal a pair of glitzy earrings. And the au naturel award goes to Sara Sampaio, with a casually raked-back bun that artfully augmented her barefaced complexion. Here, six styles designed for summer swims.
