The 19 Best Street Style Beauty Looks From New York Fashion Week Fall 2016

If  New York’s street style stars agreed on one thing this past week, it’s that a sense of individuality is everything. Such is the magic of Manhattan: The shows around town saw a stunning cacophony of beauty looks, ranging from the strictly minimal to the weird and wonderful. The rainbow of cheerful candy-colored dye jobs cemented their place as the ultimate street style antidote to winter gloom, while quick topknots and scraped-back buns—the fuzzier, the better—channeled a certain fresh-off-the-plane appeal. Braids also had a moment, with models like Sunghee Kim taking neatly woven twin Grecian braids from the Creatures of the Wind runway straight to the Flatiron District’s sidewalks—and making yet another case for oxblood lips along the way.

Statement mouths notwithstanding, most showgoers’ makeup veered toward the natural, with clean, glowing skin emerging as a camera-ready look all its own—just as up-and-coming fashion darlings like Frederikke Sofie and Yuka Mannami made another case for no-fuss hair, suggesting that the prettiest way to work an enviable mane is to simply let it be.
