The Best Friends Workout: Laura and Nathalie Love Train for a 15K Marathon

You’d think that living on opposite coasts would get in the way of having a workout partner, but for Laura Love and Nathalie Love, bridging the 2,500 miles between New York City and Los Angeles was as simple as finding the right exercise app. For the ten weeks leading up to the Nike Women’s 15K race in Toronto, the sisters prepped with daily solo city runs, each supercharging their training program with resistance-band sessions, lunges, and dead lifts at the gym. Progress was tracked and weekly stats were compared via the Nike+ Running and Nike+ Training Club apps, which not only helped them stay motivated, but brought out a healthy competitive streak. With marathon season in full swing, those looking to push their workouts to the next level might consider the Love sisters’ secret weapon: good old-fashioned sibling rivalry.
